ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Powder surfing is an extremely fun activity; however, it also presents many risks which could cause serious injury or death. Before riding, always test snow conditions to make sure they are safe. Powder surfing is an activity which often takes place in high mountain counties where avalanche conditions exist. Any use of a Kamber Labs powder surfer is at the sole risk of the rider and Kamber Labs LLC may not be held liable or responsible in any way. When using our products any and all responsibility for personal safety and well being belong solely to the rider. Our powder surfers are absent of bindings attaching the rider to the board meaning there will be challenges riding, stopping and turning particularly in low snow conditions where ice persists. This also means the board will not prevent or stop the rider from uncontrollable falls towards hazards. Powder surfing similar to other sports where you are unattached to the board such as surfing, skateboarding, and wakeboarding, the rider risks the chances of being hit by their board when crashing. We strongly recommend the use of protective gear such as helmets, pads and other protective gear when riding. Always keep your powder surfer attached to your body with a leash, this is to prevent a runaway board which endangers yourself and the others below you. Even when not riding we recommend wearing the leash in case of accidental drops or strong winds. The leash may also pose a hazard to the rider, we recommend always attaching it to a point that can easily be released in case of tangles or to avoid strangulations.

When riding, do not ride too close to trees, rocks, people, or other obstacles which pose a danger to yourself or those around you. Loose boards have a far reach and the ability to impact close objects. When falling the rider is at risk of injuring themselves, those around them and damaging the board. If you have reviewed these assumptions of risk and are uncomfortable with the risk involved with the activity of powder surfing do not ride the powder surfer.
